Our adventure begins as we travel east from Perth over the Darling Ranges with our first coffee break in the historic township of York, WA’s oldest inland town. A bit more driving and you’ll be eating lunch in the shadow of Wave Rock.

By late afternoon, we’ll have arrived in Fitzgerald River National Park, an internationally recognised World Biosphere.
This is our biggest day of driving travelling around 10 hours with stops along the way. Walking time is about an hour. Tonight, we swag camp at Fitzgerald River National Park which has toilet but no shower facilities.

Day 2: Esperance & Cape Le Grand National ParkStop At: East Mount Barren, Hopetoun, Western Australia Australia
Begin the morning with a brisk hike up East Mt Baron.

Legs stretched, take the coastal route into Esperance for a coffee and mosey around. Then get ready for some of Australia’s most breathtaking scenery. Set up camp in one of Western Australia most spectacular National Parks, Cape Le Grand iconic for its sunbathing kangaroos. Enjoy a free afternoon here to set out on a hike, get your kangaroo selfie, or just kick back with your new buds on the beach.
Today travel 2.5 hours with stops along the way. Walking time is about 3 hours and you’ll be swag camping with toilet and shower facilities at Cape Le Grand.

Day 3: Cape Le Grand National Park to the Nullarbor Stop At: Frenchman's Peak, Le Grand Road Cape Le Grand National Park, Esperance, Western Australia 6450 Australia
It’s time for an epic early morning hike up Frenchman Peak.

Mind blown, it’s time to jump back on the bus and enjoy a stunning coastal drive, stopping at some of the region’s most stunning beaches. We’ll lunch in the outback town of Norseman, and then hit the Eyre Highway to start the journey east bound.
Tonight, you will be left speechless by the show of constellations and shooting stars as you bush camp (no facilities) on the Nullarbor. Today’s driving time is about 5 hours.

Day 4: The Nullarbor & Koonalda Homestead Stop At: Nullarbor National Park, Eyre Highway, Nullarbor, South Australia 5690 Australia
Driving’s the name of the game today (we’ve got 500 kilometres of the world’s longest stretch of straight road to cover). Today will certainly give you a sense of the sheer size of this vast and ancient land. Make a stop at Eucla, an old telegraph township now mostly buried beneath sand dunes, then call in for a night’s camping at Koonalda Homestead in the Nullarbor National Park. This unique campsite was originally a sheep shearing station and fuel and rest stop for people travelling along the Nullarbor in the 1950s. Abandoned in the 1970s, the site became somewhat of a car graveyard with old cars left behind, broken down on the Nullarbor Plain. A photographers dream!
Travel time today is about 6 hours and once again be prepared to be bedazzled by the wonders of the southern skies. Koonalda Homestead provides toilets but no showers.

Day 5: Great Australian Bight & Coodlie Park Stop At: Great Australian Bight, Nullarbor, South Australia Australia
Stops for today include the famous Camels/Kangaroos/Wombats Crossing road sign and the Bunda Cliffs, where Australia drops dramatically into the Southern Ocean. Stretching for approximately 200 kilometres along the Great Australian Bight, this is the world’s longest uninterrupted line of sea cliffs and an epic coastal lookout.

Stop At: Ceduna, Ceduna, South Australia
Cross the Dingo Fence – at 5,614 kilometres, it is the world’s longest fence – and enter the Yalata Aboriginal lands. In the afternoon visit the Ceduna Arts and Cultural Centre, where you’ll hear a bit about the styles and meanings of Indigenous artwork.

Day 6: Baird Bay & Mikkira Station Stop At: Baird Bay, South Australia Australia
This morning you’ll have the opportunity to swim, snorkel and splash about with playful sea lions and magical dolphins on a 3-hour cruise in the calm and sheltered waters of Baird Bay. This tour is operated by Baird Bay Eco Tours and is an optional experience. At only $180, it will be a memory you’ll treasure forever.
Those who choose to stay on land will travel to Point Labatt Conservation Park, the only place on the mainland where Australian seal pups can be seen learning to swim, play and rest on the beach.

After lunch, it’s off to Lake Newland Conservation Park where you will test out your sand boarding skills in some massive sand dunes.

Needing a rest, it’s back on the bus to travel to our campsite at Mikkira Station. Home to a wild koala population, tonight you’ll sleep under the koala-filled gum trees. How Aussie is that!
Drive time today is approximately 4.5 hours with stops along the way.

Day 7: Port Lincoln & Mikkira Station Stop At: Adventure Bay Charters, 2 S Quay Blvd, Port Lincoln SA 5606, Australia
Today you are offered two very different itineraries. Those who love aquatic wildlife, and/or are seeking an adrenalin rush, can choose the full day optional experience of coming face-to-face with the majestic, Great White Shark. There are two operators offering different types of experiences: From staying dry in a revolutionary glass viewing aqua sub, to the more extreme option of entering the cage. Head into Port Lincoln, also known as ‘Australia’s Seafood Capital’. Explore and enjoy some free time before picking up the rest of the group and heading back to the friendly koalas at Mikkira Station, where we camp for a second night.
Drive time today is about 2.5 hours unless you are doing the sharks experience in which case it is only 1 hour.

Day 8: Port Lincoln to Mt. Remarkable Stop At: Fishery Bay, Proper Bay Road, Port Lincoln, South Australia Australia
Surfing is a way of life in Australia, so today you’ll pull on a wetsuit for a two-hour learn-to-surf lesson with Xtreme Kite & Paddle. The calm and turquoise waters of Fisheries Bay in Port Lincoln are the perfect place to Hang 10! Those not wanting to surf will be able to relax, swim or explore.

After lunch, it’s onwards to the ancient Southern Flinders Ranges and Mt. Remarkable National Park. We’ll set up camp for the night at Mambray Creek and then head out to see the abundant native wildlife that call this region home.
Drive time today is 4.5 hours.

Day 9: Mt. Remarkable to Adelaide Stop At: Flinders Ranges, Flinders Ranges, South Australia
This morning we’ll embark on our last hike of the tour through Davey’s Gully.

Back on the bus we’ll head towards Adelaide but not before travelling through some quaint country towns. South Australia is well known for its world-class wine and our last stop of the tour will be for lunch and wine tasting in the picturesque Clare Valley. Cheers to that.
